So what does this mean for the LMA? Well, the GoBoston recommends 58 projects worthy of pursuing, several of which may add transit to the LMA including our very own Transit Hub. The plan emphasizes improving access and transportation in an equitable, economically supportive and climate resilient manner.

The Verb Hotel Bus Stop is officially moving Monday February 6th.

Starting Monday, the Fenway Shuttles will pick up and drop off at the corner of Boylston and Yawkey at the MBTA Bus Stop in front of 1295 Boylston. For the first week, Fenway Shuttles will make pick ups and drop offs at both the old and the new locations, but effective Monday February 13th, only the new bus stop will be serviced. Earlier this month The Dimock Center in Roxbury — a nationally recognized community health center affiliated with BIDMC — broke ground on a state-of-the-art inpatient detox center. The Dr. Lucy Sewall Center for Acute Treatment Services will help meet a rising need for addiction and recovery services.

The “New Ideas in Music and Sound” series continues its second exciting season of cutting-edge original works by outstanding student composers and sound artists from colleges in the Fenway and Mission Hill areas on Thursday December 8th at 6pm at the
Parker Hill Branch of the Boston Public Library. The concert is free and open to the general public.

Masters student from New England Conservatory Anastasiya Dumma will perform her unique guitar improvisations influenced by twentieth century classical music, American jazz and Russian folk music.

There are dozens, maybe even hundreds of crosswalks in the LMA. Do you know how to cross safely? Do you cross safely all the time?

MassDOT has teamed up with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Executive Office of Public Safety and the Department of Public Health to educate pedestrians, motorists and cyclists on crosswalk safety.

While the campaign is focused on parents teaching kids to use crosswalks properly and safely, there are some great tips for the tens of thousands of pedestrians, cars and cyclists we see in the LMA every day.
